Hello. After upgrading a hp elitebook 6930 from windows 7 professional to windows 10, I found that the sd mmc card reader was not working, not recognized, and when I put in a sd card in the reader, nothing happened.
I googled the solution, I used bing, I looked at realtek, I looked at ricoh. Nothing worked! BOO!!!!
I also looked at hp site of course, and windows, and circles I tell ya. Everyone talks in circles and after an hour of searching, I found it.
Just go here and get what you need to get your sd card reader working again.

It is a Richoh media card reader. Don't worry that it says it is for windows 7 professional 64 bit. Just download that puppy, install it, and see what happens. I was ready to toss this notebook aside or have another techy look at it.
I downloaded it, installed it, rebooted my computer, and the sd card reader works again.
Perfect.
Hopefully you found this post before you wasted your day going in circles.
By the way, if you spent time looking for this fix, please leave a comment on what you searched for and I will add it to this post. My vision is that we can help others figure it out quick. It's frustrating going in circles, isn't it?
Sending good vibes your way! 8-)
