I'm a big fan of caffeine, and during the summer, coffee is not really my beverage of choice. Enter... SMOOTHIE KING. Awe yes.... caffeine with a nice, freshly made, cold smoothie. It's called a Pep Upper. Strawberries, passion fruit, and papaya and some caffeine powder all blended together. It's my favorite.
Now I have not tried all of the other smoothies that Smoothie King offers. The smallest smoothie that they offer is 20 oz. and costs just under $5 all together, which is more expensive than the venti red eye I get at starbucks by about $1, and since it has more nutritional value than the coffee, I don't mind paying the extra $1.
Today while I was at Smoothie King, I did notice that they had three employees on duty doing nothing. It's my belief that they can cut payroll costs big time and possibly charge less for their smoothies and be even more profitable.
I asked one of the employees if they were busy on Sundays hence the need for three people to be on duty, and he said... NO, WE ARE SLOW ON SUNDAYS... BUT WE HAVE THREE PEOPLE WORKING EVERY DAY.
Amazing really. If I were the franchisee of this particular location (Hurst, Texas) I would look into this.... then give me free smoothies for life for the feedback. Just kee-ding, unless you want to do it. 8-)
